As the Chief Strategist for the company he co-founded, Chris Vaughan has become the expert that executives at major brands and marketing organizations depend on to arrive at clear, actionable solutions to their most complex operational and organizational problems. Whether it’s a disruptive change, significant transition, or a complicated situation that needs a blueprint everyone believes in, Chris’s highly developed insight into problems with organization, execution and alignment allows him to see what’s wrong, visualize what’s possible, and create a clear path to success.

During his 15 years as a trusted advisor, Chris has tackled some of the most challenging business issues for clients like BBDO, State Farm, Citi, Euro RSCG and AARP. When a globally recognized advertising agency became overwhelmed by an influx of new business and structural changes, Chris was able to give them a framework that made the unsolvable problems solvable and the insurmountable, doable. He identified what was important and how things had to fit together to work, giving them the plan and tools they needed to solve their problems and move forward.

Marketers also depend upon his expertise. For the largest membership organization in the world, Chris was the architect of a multi-year effort to design and operationalize a program that has grown to become one of the most valuable assets in their business model. The ability to see all the moving parts and chart a path through the wilderness is his specialty.

Chris co-founded Sequence Consulting in 2002, after 8 years with global strategy branding, and technology consulting firm marchFIRST, helping companies build visionary brands, business models, systems and processes. As a Managing Partner of the company, Chris was the “go-to guy” entrusted with some of the firm’s most critical transactions and initiatives, including startups, mergers, global alliances and turnarounds. He honed his skills as a thought leader in creating innovative and strategic solutions, serving major clients such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, General Cable, Boston Market and Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Previously, Chris worked technology software and services firms, including divine, Whittman-Hart and The Future Now, helping clients create integrated business architectures and develop leading edge collaboration tools.

Chris received his Bachelor’s degree at Shimer College in Chicago, and earned his Masters and PhD at Indiana University
